Quirky Bridal Shoe Ideas

Not every brides wants to opt for the standard satin bridal shoe and looks for something a little different. With the rise of wedding shoe collections such as the Gina Bridal Shoe collection, brides to be opting for a bridal shoe that smacks of glamour is on the rise and with catwalk styles of ruffles and corsage embellishments bridal shoes are now around that pack a punch when it comes to bang up to date styles. Think colour and match your wedding shoes to your wedding colour scheme - the options are now literally endless. With all that in mind I’ve been on the search for out of the ordinary bridal shoes that are an ideal for brides with an eye for alternative style and who’s not afraid to stand out from the crowd!

Dune (at Shudoo)

Dune’s wedding shoe collection is just gorgeous but sells out quickly. However, they have released a few new shoes that I think would be a fab bridal shoe option for the bride who is looking to make a statement. The wow factor Dune Merel Silver platform is a top find. The satin fabric, diamante bow detail make this an ideal bridal shoe with a bit of bling.

Oli

We all know the old saying - ‘Something borrowed, something blue’ so as a fun twist check out these gorgeous pastel blue Timeless Twist vintage style peep toe platform at Oli. Currently available in the sale so a budget bridal shoe option indeed. Loving this one.

Faith

Another vintage feel shoe updating with the modern platform sole. I love this style as its still elegant and would be perfect to match if you’re a Candy Anthony style bride. Not part of the Faith bridal shoe collection but a definite front runner for the alternative bridal shoe short list!

Viva La Diva

Anyone who loves shoes loves Christian Louboutin but come on - pricey! If it serious glitz and glamour you are after then these dazzlingly bling bling Red or Dead shoes at Viva La Diva are a great alternative. At under £60 these babies are a fraction of the price tag of CL’s - worth considering if you want big time bling on a budget.

When it comes to alternative wedding shoe styles and ideas you are only limited by your imagination so why not consider breaking from tradition and having some fun with your bridal shoes!
