Outside Weddingdom: The Issue of Shoes (And Storage)!

Yes brides - we all have to accept it that normal life continues while the frenzy of wedding planning takes over.   A key aspect of my life that I find enormously difficult to manage is shoes - or should I say organising them!  Trying to store them - trying to locate them and basically actually knowing what shoes I have.  I have been known to end up purchasing shoes that quite frankly I don’t need ( down to the fact that in a rare moment of ‘organisation’ I attempted to sort myself out, used a suitcase to store shoes and plopped this at the bottom of the wardrobe!)

So - the fact is I am overjoyed by my amazing budget find - clear shoe boxes for only £12 for 10 (£15 for 15!).  Now I spotted these babies some time ago at some shop that helps you try and get your life in order (lost on me) but to be honest I thought they were just too expensive to justify buying them.  Well, Barratts have a similar concept but at a way much cheaper price.  The reviews are great and having just bought quite a few - I can tell you that amazingly I can get to most (not all yet) of my shoes with ease.  A neat idea and totally cheap as chips.

BSB Revamp!

So - you might (or might not have noticed) that the Budget Savvy Bride site has been undergoing a bit of a re-design. I decided that much like everything else, certain designs have a life span and the old BSB site design was just not really that great anymore. Well - I’ve been working hard over the last few days with some teething troubles but I hope you will all agree its look pretty nifty!

There site will be undergoing more improvements over the coming weeks to ensure that all you lovely users get the best out of the site and find it easier to find what might interest you. I’ll soon be looking to launch a real budget brides section and when ready all you fantastic budget brides can upload your budget wedding day details and get listed! Lots of the work goes on in the bits that you can’t see so service continues as normal!

Dress The BM For Under £100 Challenge - Outfit 3

Outfit 3 of the Dress the Bridesmaid for Under £100 is another hot pink and black combo as I just loved this dress. Its from the new range at Very at is currently priced at only £50. I found some amazing bargains this time including these gorgeous hot pink ruffle t-bar shoes for only £10 and boohoo.com (other colours available too).

The black corsage hair clip is from New Look for only £5 and the heart shaped handbag comes from Barratts - again other colours available in this include purple and pink. For the jewellery good old Marks and Spencers came up trumps again with their gorgeous new jewellery range - £15 for this chunkier style earings and necklace set - really nice and one the BM’s can wear again. Total for this outfit - £90 leaving a few pennies over.

Dress The BM For Under £100 Challenge - Outfit 2

Day 2 of the Dress the BM For Under £100 challenge and this time the budget is even close to busting - check out this gorgeous silver and teal bridesmaid outfit - everything for a snip at under £75!! Teal is great wedding colour made ever more popular with the whole love affair with Tiffany’s and if you don’t want to user silver then consider teal with a chocolate brown contrast which also looks fab.

The bag and fascinator combo was a real bargain find - £10 for the set from Littlewoods. You can get other colour combos in this including Lilac so worth checking out. The shoes - well you have just got to love these - new in at Priceless and the vibrant teal colour looks great. Another one available in other colours including fuchsia pink and purple!

The dress is from Very - just arrived in their new collection. If you don’t know Very is the new name for Littlewoods Direct - you’ll also see it on Littlewoods but its £10 more expensive! Finally another new collection arrival is the jewellery from good old M&S. £9.50!!!!! They also have a great range of pearl bridal jewellery that starts from under a tenner.
