Bridesmaid dresses on the high street are increasingly popular with key high street retailers such as Next, Coast and Monsoon all stocking dedicated bridesmaid dress collections. At this time of year, with the party season upon us, you can also find great prom and evening dresses that can work amazingly well as bridesmaid dresses too!
To give you a helping hand, I have put together a list of the best dresses available on the high street that can also be adapted to your bridesmaids.
Coast
Of course, one of my favourite stores to checkout for bridesmaid dress options has to be Coast. The new autumn and winter collection packs a shed load of choices and not only in their dedicated bridesmaid dress range. The vibrant hot pink Juniper Drape dress is an ideal option for brides looking for a feminine bridesmaid dress look. A popular choice for summer weddings is bright pink and this bridesmaid dress meets that criteria 100% . My second choice from Coast is the beautiful Allure maxi dress. I just love the fitted bodice and floaty floor length skirt. This is 100% silk and smacks of grace and elegance. I have opted to show the champagne colour but this dress also comes in a stunning black and soft baby blue - gorge!
Monsoon
Another high street heavyweight offering an extensive bridal and bridesmaid dress off the peg collection is Monsoon. With gorgeous dress designs in classic and contemporary styles with a staggering array of colour choice, this is a fab store to consider no matter what your wedding theme colour. Two top picks include the vibrant cobalt blue Marsella knee length dress. Its 100% silk and the ruched bust, waterfall skirt and embroidery make this a beautiful bridesmaid dress. The absolutely wow factor Mai maxi dress really stood out as the colour is just stunning and with the contrasting colour panels, this dress is definitely a bridesmaid gown that would be a real talking point with guests.

Debenhams
Debenhams is one of the most well known high street department stores and it doesn’t disappoint when it comes to choices for bridal party attire. The Debut collection offers some beautiful bridesmaid dresses at affordable price tags including this wine rose organza prom dress at only £70. I like this simple style and its a great choice for younger bridesmaids too. If you’re opting for a midnight or navy blue theme then you’ll be pleased to know that this cute little number is also available in a shade of midnight blue. For something a little more sassy the waterfall prom dress is an ideal choice. In a sumptuous layered fabric with a below the hem netted underskirt adding real volume to the skirt this is another great option for bridesmaids who are on the younger side. Again, this is available in several colour choices include red and pewter.
John Lewis
At John Lewis you’ll find many dresses by other retailers but they do have a wonderful selection of their own designs and collections. If you”re going all out glam for your wedding then the beautiful floor length Uma dress is must to consider. I adore the jewelled strap detail and the indulgent french silk fabric makes this an ideal bridesmaid dress when are looking to create a sophisticated wedding theme. Red - a widely radiant colour and fabulous in both winter and summer weddings - the cardinal red dress is a complete show stopper. Its understated and being a halterneck will flatter most bridesmaids especially those with a fuller bust.
Wallis
Wallis has some really nice dresses and one that really stuck out was the green twist maxi dress. Its an absolute bargain at only £55 and its also available in black. I love the bow sash tie detail as it adds a real touch of femininity. A definite BSB choice! The catch with this one is that it is an on line exclusive so you can only purchase via the website.
Matalan
Well well well - I found some fab dresses at jaw dropping low prices at Matalan. Two of my must buys for bridesmaid dresses including this gorgeous gold 100% silk dress by Jeff and Co (Jeff Banks designs for Matalan) for an unbelievable £30!! The wonderfully vibrant blue twist dress is a real steal at only £18!! Both these are absolutely by far the most budget savvy we have found. You’ll also find some great buys on winter fur shrugs at only £15.
